I've only seen a little TV today, but I only heard the Dead Man Walking comment on AM radio and the Assoc Press had no mention of any taunting or comments or controversy.
Looks like Stephens is just going to cover his ass. His comments about this defendant is not going to be treated any differently or be moved up is pandering and red meat to his constituents.
Why is okay for Nifong to have treated this case differently from the beginning? DA's don't trust victims with the background of this dancer. They don't give people 31 hours to remember the event and talk to police and they don't give suspects over 3 weeks to pick the perps out of a line up.
"Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Free Teenagers" outside the courtroom? Oh well. That's right. This case is about ALCOHOL/sarc.
