Hard to make an honest judgement. Stone is notorious for rewriting history.

Why would anyone with two functioning brain cells waste their time and money on an Oliver Stoned movie?

I saw it last night on television. From what I saw, it seemed to focus on the police and firefighters who responded to the horror. It seemed pretty heartfelt really.

I won't go see it or any other 9/11 movie.

From what I understand, this film focuses on two Port Authority officers. They were the last people to be rescused aftrer the Towers fell. I saw the trailer last night and from that it looks like a good movie (but then isn't tht the point of trailers?).

One thing that makes me not want to see this besides Oliver Stone is that the actress Maggie Gyllenhall is in it and plays, I believe, the wife of one of the PA officers. After what that moronic ding-bat has said about 9/11 (we deserved it and brought it on ourselves)I find it disgusting that she would act in a movie about it...and I have no desire to contribute to her bank account!

I saw it just now. It was overly melodramatic. The sappy music was nauseating. When Nick Cage was shown, it smacked of 'fake Hollywood'--certainly jarred the 'real life events' out of the trailer (I laughed a bit when those words appeared, juxtaposed with seeing Cage). I thought it looked like a glorified movie-of-the-week!

I'll take a pass. Stone is a gifted filmmaker, but I have better things to do with my time.

It certainly will not be in the same magnificent category as 'United 93'. Not.Even.Close.
