Running up against the Cell apparently. Some cool tech is going to come out of this corner.

I wish them well, DEC had some amazing guys doing their chips. From Alpha - which led directly to AMD Athlon and Opteron as AMD licensed their memory access technology - to StrongARM to a bunch of other neat stuff, they have always been leaders.
But I will wait to see what they actually deliver. Smells a bit too much like Transmeta to me.
