Must be a primal instinct encoded deep inside his DNA: to have a safe sleep, go up high on the tree.:)

It is a good thing he didn't decide that he was a bird and try to fly.

I've had a few "Oh crap!" moments waking up after a night of drinking but never anything like this.

Getting drunk and acting like a clown seems to be a common British trait.

I've woke up in some strange places myself, but never 100 feet up in a tree.

Getting drunk and acting like a clown seems to be a common British trait. I seriously doubt that the British are the only ones who have cornered that market. There are plenty (thousands) of stories like this one in America or other places.
Most of them are not as humorous, but far more tragic.

Eh? What do Americans do when they get drunk? Write haikus and discuss the early works of Sartre? The whole point of getting drunk is so you can act like an idiot, if not you might as well drink something without any alcohol in it, like americans beer! :D

Well we're highly experienced at using humour as a weapon over here as we're not allowed handguns! :D

A hundred feet up a pine tree, how tall was the whole tree?

Twelve man-hours wasted. Gravity would have brought him down -- sooner or later...

How about in a parking space (in vehicle) at the front steps of the Schleicher County Court House on a weekday morning after attempting to drive back from the bar in San Angelo to Sonora.
