A married couple attending an international model aircraft demonstration in southern Hungary Saturday were killed when one of the planes, a model Pitts biplane, suddenly crashed into the crowd.

Some of those model planes are huge. Woah! Yeah, I guess if that crashed into me full of fuel and props spinning, it would definitely make for a bad day.

The Darwin award is awarded to death by misadventure due to stupidity. By your logic all the 9/11 WTC and Pentagon vitims were Darwins as well. Stating that someone watching a model airplane fly into them makes them a candidate for Darwin reflects more on the stupidity of the poster than the victims!

This sort of reminds me of Flight of the Phoenix when they call the designer a toy plane builder. I guess these are technically "models" but I've seen manned ultra lights fly over my house that look less powerful than some of the pics posted.
