When I was 3, I was in a terrible car accident and flew through the front windshield, because I was not strapped in and was sitting on a lady's lap in the front seat (no seat belt for her either).
I almost was killed, but luckily a nurse was the first on the scene and started picking all the glass out of my face and giving me care. I can still remember them cutting my favorite turtle neck shirt off because of the glass on my face and I remember screaming for my mommy and daddy.
But still, if there's protection for your children, there's a reason for it and a good parent would us it, as directed.
Brittany is not a very good parent, imo.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I do not think we need federal laws to tell people to strap their kids into car seats. Too many stupid laws go through because they are "for the children". When I was a baby (and probably for most freepers over 25) things like car seats either weren't available or weren't in wide usage like they are now.
Is she a bad mother? No, she shouldn't have been driving with the kid on her lap like she was a few months ago, but in this case I am going to reserve judgment. It's 1 photograph that is circulating. He could have been wriggling around and that is when the shutter snapped. Could have been a 5 minute drive. I don't know.
