I would see the movie because I know the truth and am comfortable with my love of them. Sure, I'd get angry, but it is fiction ('specially so if you ever met my folks).
And those who aren't comfortable with the DaVinci Code, like yourself, wouldn't read it or see it. Does that mean everybody must conform to YOUR opinion?

Did I say everyone must conform to my opinion?
Do you mean that since my opinion differs from your promotion of the movie, that I should keep my opinion quiet?
Guess it means that none should speak up for Jesus, but, instead, join the mob paying to see a movie saying the Bible lied or that the Bible left out details.
Why? Why is it necessary to go see this dumb movie? To make sure it creates as much havoc on Christianity as possible so you can snicker at how silly we are? To make the writer even more wealthy?
Look at how he is gaining his money. Purely from mocking Jesus. Maybe many others can do the same and reap even more money. And, guess I should be sophisticated enough to pay to see those too. What a horrible waste of my funds.
