If she doesn't show up in civil court and thus negates the suit, do the wronged parties not have a right to THEIR day in court? If that is the case, there is certainly a "Something is rotten in Denmark Durham" situation.
I'm not defending Mangum, but the person whom I hold primarily responsible for this debacle is Nifong. He's trotting Mangum out in front of the grand jury today and, once again, hiding behind her skirt. The man is a coward!
Whether or not the lacrosse players ever get to sue Mangum or not, it's clear her life is pretty much a trainwreck regardless. I hope the families throw all their power and influence into ensuring Nifong pays for this outrage.
