Boggles the mind. This is an incredible year for black Republicans. And this ***ridiculous case*** goes forward in the same year.
And what is it that makes the case stand out? Why it pits "poor" blacks against "wealthy" whites, Peach. And the Democrat DA is determined to side with the "poor" blacks. Even in a case that legally has stunk from the beginning.
Scooter Libby and Tom DeLay were indicted so the Dems could depict a Republican "Culture of Corruption". Were the Duke LaCrosse players indicted so the Dems could depict themselves as the ever loyal, faithful and true defenders of "poor" blacks? So that fewer blacks would consider voting for Ken Blackwell, Michael Steele and Lynn Swann?

At this point, knowing how the Democrats plan and plot, nothing, absolutely nothing would surprise me.
They are desperate to regain power and are almost (just almost) as dangerous trying to get that power back as they would be actually in power.
This case isn't going to affect black voting in other places. Blacks don't vote that way. 90% vote for whomever promises the most gravy or for whomever their plantation masters tell them to vote for, IF they vote. If this was something with a wider political target, we would have seen and heard more racial BS from people further afied from Durham. Who showed up? The New Black Panthers, a group not taken seriously by mainstream blacks and not even by many fringe blacks.
