Since seeing the "Prophecy" movies angels scare me. If they're real why should they have any benevolence toward we far frailer beings who hold the treasure of free will that they were denied?

Heh- why do you think when angels show up in the Bible, they always start out with 'fear not!'

Angels are cool, actually. We have them all over the place. We've never seen one, either with our eyes or in a vision, but we see the favor and blessing of God over us all the time. We asked the Lord for them, and He answers our prayers.

My favorite story about angels is when they come to visit Abraham and rescue Lot, right before Sodom is judged.

When angels manifest, it's best to pay attention.

Have you ever seen the movie "The Bible: In the Beginning" where Peter O'Toole plays all 3 of the angels of the Lord who come to visit Abraham?

It was *the* most awesome part of the whole movie....:)
