Ah. Thanks for clearing that up.
Do you ever visit the "Uuunnngh!" thread? You'd like it.
This marginal-, apocalyptic-, far out-, fringe-Christian stuff is different from the beliefs held by the Iranian Mullahs and the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because...............
- - -
I suppose we can give you a 100 points for insulting. But then, it's tradition on these threads. Cue Tevya
----
1. It's not marginal. I forget the most recent stats. I have in my head that it's over 80% of Americans of all ages and walks of life believe in the existence of such things; in the phenomena, as it can be called.
2. Apocalyptic--Well, choose your apoalypse. The New Agers have a scenario whereby the Christians are going to be taken away by giant UFO's to relieve the earth of the burden of them so that the earth can transit to the NEW AGE! Quite a tidy wholesale distortion there!
The Malthusian environmentalist characters believe we are doing ourselves in along with the poor beleagered earth and it's innocent animals by all our materialism and population masses.
Close behind and in league with them, the puppet masters agree and are determined to reduce the global population to 500,000,000--as you can read more obliquely on the GEORGIA GUIDE STONES.
Then there's various weather scenarios, quake scenarios and comet and meteor scenarios.
Personally, I'll take The Bible, Daniel, Ezekiel, Matt 24 and Revelation over other scenarios any day. May as well deal with THE TRUTH.
3. Far Out. Actually, given all the evidence that's been accruing the last 45+ years . . . I tend to think it's far out to be blind to SIGNS OF THE TIMES.
Then there's the aspect of FAR OUT tends to be in the eye or brain of the beholder.
On the other side of the coin, God and HIS DOINGS ARE . . . from a number of perspectives FAR OUT and FAR IN. But you'll see that in due course.
Of course, there are folks who have a seeming incapacity to consider things real or valid unless they thought of them first or near first.
Actually, FAR OUT probably fits Shrillery and her plans for the Republic and the planet a lot more. Or the candidacy of SKERRY. Now that was far out . . . to lunch.
All this field is just a bunch of ET/ UFO/ Black ops/ satanic/ demonism/ exotic tech/ disinformation/ smoke screen/ mirrors/ power mongers/ globalist /evil utopian/ Machiavellian manipulation stuff. I suppose you could call it far out. But it seems to me it's the same evil heart of man trying to gain advantage any way but God's way.
4. Fringe-Christian. Actually, Pentecostals-Charismatics probably make up the largest single block of Christians on the planet currently . . . and growing. Virtually all of them are firm in their belief of our being in the END TIMES. Or, were you talking about your brand of Christianity being the fringe?
5. There is no God like Jehovah, as the song says. The rag muffins can have their demonic moon god allah and all their demonized plans for world conquest. I'm waiting for
THE RETURN OF THE KING.
. . . . .
Cheers

Excerpts from:
ALIEN INTRUSION
by Gary Bates pp 270-271
As the CE-4 researchers discovered, there is a battle going on in another dimension or a spiritual realm, and control of humankind and the earth appears to be the goal. Remember the conclusions of researchers Vallee and others: they noticed that these beings seem intent on changing our traditional view of the world--in short, our view of reality. Achieving this goal is not as difficult as one might think. As we have repeatedly shown, the evolutionary world view, coupled with a diet of science fiction and a decline of traditional religious beliefs, has prepared the world for the arrival of the space brothers and their new religion.
It appears that these beings want to bring the world into a new order; that is, one great unifying religion under their auspices. Yet this religious agenda is not new. It is one that has been around for as long as mankind has been on the earth--this new religious order is supposed to embrace all faiths, but it is noticeably intolerant of Biblical Christianity. [Quix paragraph break here]
Therefore, it should be of no surprise that the abductors have generally left genuine Bible-believing Christians alone because these Christians may be able to "spiritually discern" the true nature of this attack on their beliefs. Unfortunately, many Christians believe the whole ET scenario is nonsense, probably because they have never been exposed to this phenomenon. And although they may recognize some aspects as spiritual in origin, most do not realize how widespread this "enemy campaign" appears to be.
CE-4 discovered, by means of practical research and not a pre-existing belief in Christianity, that the Bible provided answers to the nature of this spiritual battle. It has been written of these researchers:
"Jordon and Clark didn't start out as 'Bible pounders with a point.' In fact, quite the opposite. They were just looking for truth like everyone else, and what they have found will cause the UFO/abduction phenomenon to never be viewed in exactly the same way again. It was the research they did and the data they found that made believers out of them. 1
1 "The Premise of Spiritual Warfare," , March 7, 2003
Researcher Jordan not only spoke with fellow directors in MUFON, but he contacted several of the leading abduction researchers in the United States. They all requested anonymity, but off the record every single one of them claimed to have cases of abductees halting their experiences [the abduction was halted] in the name of Jesus Christ. These experts, not knowing how to deal with this knowledge, simply disregarded it. 2 The fact that they wanted anonymity also suggests that they didn't want their own pre-existing belief system challenged, which was likely to be already entrenched in New Age concepts and practices. In addition, with the abduction phenomenon at plague proportions, one can make a good living by bing a "specialist."
Why is it that the mention of the name of Jesus affects these beings so badly? Why are they afraid of a name that is often disregarded and derided or used as a swear word in our modern culture? The messages of these beings are often aimed directly at discrediting the traditional view of Christ. The space brothers frequently claim that Jesus is not the Savior of all mankind but one of a few good religious leaders who ahve appeard on this earth, or even that he is a UFOnaut like them [or that they created Him, Buddha etc. for social engineering purposes]. All their efforts seem focused on undermining the Bible and the Christian view that Jesus is the Savior of mankind, and replacing it with the view that they are the saviors instead. It is hard to avoid the conclusion that these beings actually believe Jesus is the One He claims to be. If He is God incarnate, and they are merely deceivers, we can now realize their motives for seeking to discredit Him.
Should one trust these dedceptive beings' claims to be our saviors? Be careful--to be "deceived" means to believe a lie. Who should we believe? Beings with questionable origins who abuse humans and treat them with disdain? Remember that people who have encountered so-called aliens have been transformed emotionally and religiously as a result of an encounter with a spirit, but often it is an unpleasant experience that leaves them with a sense of being violated, depressed, and even suicidal.
2 Ibid.
I have suspected such was the case for decades but had no significant multi-sourced verification of it. Truly, as Scripture and my 59 years have demonstrated--The Name of Jesus is powerful--when spoken in Faith by a true follower of Him.
Guess I should alert everyone to the 2nd part of my excerpts.
No, these are Jedi.
You're probably right.
Good movie just watched it last week while being sick for three weeks! Actually there is part two and three.
Parts 2 and 3 are just as good.
[Walken rules]....:))
Hope you're feeling better!

I for one am not going to poke fun at the theme of this post. If we believe what is written in the Bible, we know there are ‘good’ and ‘bad’ angels. There are twice as many of the good, under the leadership of Michael and Gabriel. We are told that a third were thrown out of heaven with Lucifer.
Scripture also is clear on the ‘nephilim’, the protegy of the fallen angels. If we read with any understanding in the first few chapters of Genesis, coming up to the time of Noah, we see that there was an attempt by Satan to corrupt the seed of the woman to prevent the coming of the Christ, the Messiah. We are told that Noah’s seed was perfect (not corrupted) and that is why he and his were chosen to survive the flood.
There is a fair bit quoted from the Book of Enoch. The Book of Enoch was known to writers in the New Testament. I am not one to ridicule what is attributed to Enoch here.
We also know that the fallen angel influence must have continued, as we see evidence of ‘nephilim’ after the flood. The giants in the land, for instance.
I have also wondered if some of the creatures in mythology might have actually existed, again from fallen angel experimentation with animals - just a thought.
So, is there any probability that ‘aliens’ are among us as nephilim today? I would think this is possible. I do not believe we are being visited by beings from a creation in another world. There is much to ponder in what this author wrote in this posted thread.
What makes you think angels don't have free will?
The Bible says many angels chose to follow Satan into rebellion against God. If they didn't have free will, how were they able to make that choice?
Of the slightly over 2B Christians worldwide slightly over 50% are Roman Catholics. Since Pentecostals/Charismatics are a sub-group of Protestantism, your contention seems unlikely to be true.
