I never posted at CTV, just read it.

I heard of the case very early on, when it broke nationally with the 46/47 DNA dragnet. I was outraged. I had no love for jocks or Duke either. The details Nifong dribbled out was very effective in the beginning without any defense countering. I was very convinced a rape occured, the boys did it, and the ones who didn't are immorally staying silent. Nifong's remarks that "DNA will exonerate the innocent and point to the guilty" was, well, "seared" into my brain.

Then I smelled something fishy when Nifong began to talk about the bogus 75-80% stat, recall he did this before 4/11. When the DNA results were back on 4/11 I was incensed because I knew then I had been had. The thing I hate the most is to be duped. I certainly would not give Nifong any more credence than he deserves.

Then the photos.

Then the illegal police invasion to circumvent legal consel.

Then the alibi.

Then the exposed refusal to look at the photos or the alibi.

Then asking NBC reporters for the photos.

No more. I decided then that Nifong was an out-of-control DA hogging the limelight and power and the paragon of the Peter Principle.

Then the Black Panthers.

And the hatred, blind hatred shown by the local residents and on internet.

Then the realization of how deep a cesspool Durham and the Durham justice system is.

The leaking,

The blackmail of an honest immigrant cab driver.

That is how I got here.
