Two of my boys play lacrosse. While they are usually bruised (the younger one looks like a leopard during the season)they would usually not have scratches. Players wear gloves and pads everywhere but legs, forearms, and neck. I can imagine scratches on those areas from turf but I don't see how a woman's press on nail scratches would look the same or be on the same parts of the body as lacrosse scratches. Let's hope none of these guys have a "scratcher" girlfriend.
You meant upper arms of course. The gloves go nearly to the elbow. My son gets bruised a lot too but he also occasionally gets scratched by the netting at the end of the stick scraping across his upper arm.
