Tell them you cancelled your reservations in Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, South Nags Head, Manteo, or Hatteras. The state charges 7% tax on vacation rentals. With a four bedroom going for $3000+/week that's a chunk of change. The highway between points north and Duck (transplanted vacationing Beltway types)has a 25-35mph speed limit on open road. Their entire income must rest on those tickets.
The jerk who thinks it funny that this same black man must earn a living driving a cab instead of spending time w/HIM should be laughed out of his own occupation?

I would also like to see the News&Observer highlight this intimidation of a witness AND quote the law which has apparently been ignored.
In the interest of the almighty diversity, what about a feature story on the cab driver and the ramifications of Nifong's action on his life? Would the Durham blacks go to bat for their black brother and show their displeasure to the DA?
Yikes, I had forgotten that Easley had appointed Nifong when I talked with the lady at the governor's office. She mentioned that a number of people had called. We've added some excitement to her afternoon.
Now I'm wondering if the Durham Chamber of Commerce or the Duke admissions office is getting phone calls. I've been getting tired of calling the White House about illegal immigration. LOL

I've been hearing this all morning.
These are not fingernails or even acrylic nails-but, press on nails.
The press on nails fit directly on top of the actual nail and don't have an under area, in the sense that a real nail would.
A more correct term would be on the front side or back side of the press on nail.
How could DNA be on the press on nail and yet, not actually under CM's nail beds ?
The slightest pressure can remove a press on nail .
Logically, in a life and death struggle , the press on flies off immediately and the real nail gouges out DNA .

I do not know. I would think so, considering that is her story.
I tried press on nails once. They came off every 2 minutes. They fell off if I breathed on them. It was a ridiculous waste of time. I don't think you could scratch anyone with a press on nail. She probably dropped it and someone picked it up. Too bad he didn't flush it but instead dropped it in the trash where god knows whose DNA was in there. I'm actually sorta impressed by these guys even having a trash can in the bathroom. Back in my day, in the team/frat occupied houses off east campus the level of hygiene was far below 3rd world ghettos. Unless they have a maid there could be DNA from the last owner in there.

I would think that Nifong would be talking about scratch marks if he had them. Now, its late and the scratches would have healed.
