Except for the 30 second explanation toward the end of the film for the right-wing "conspiracy" there was little objectionable and I thought it surprisingly entertaining.
Very fast-paced but a bit more human warmth than a lot of action flicks.
I saw it for free on Friday night. Action-packed, tense, frenetic pace--about what you'd expect from JJ Abrams. A fun time at the theater.
Tom Cruise? Was he in the movie? Worst scene: when Tom struggled over telling his fiancee about his clandestine career. Extreme overacting.
I agree with the character assessment, yes. This one was done by JJ Abrams, of "Lost" and "Alias" fame, who has more of a touch for the human element than stright-up boom/crash/action.
