Unfortunately I don't have to look very hard to find this: Police report from April: "City detectives... were involved in a... Narcotics Task Force raid on a house in Pecos. There were approximately 21 pit bulls at the residence and one had been shot and killed by officers..."

Pecos is just SE of Santa Fe. My speculation is, some type of breeding/fighting operations were being run in conjunction to the canine property security deal.

It is up to responsible dog owners to make a stand and counteract such delinquency.

Some of those reports are pretty funny.

12:56 p.m. – A perpetually intoxicated man was passed out in the parking lot of the Lowe’s SuperSave, police reported. The man was taken to jail for detox.

12:26 a.m. – Fire Engine Number One hit a brick wall pulling out of a residence on Aspen Loop. The truck sustained light damage, as did the brick wall, a city firefighter said.

4:24 p.m. – A Martinez Lane woman said someone broke into her garage and damaged some of her plumbing.

6:17 a.m. – The Senior/Stroke Center reported that someone broke into an outdoor freezer and made a mess out of the food.
