Well, photo to the contrary notwithstanding, if she's at all, um shapely, I think the video would spare the adolescent boys the distraction of trying to undress her in their imagination. So they'd be able to concentrate more effectively on their studies, right? I think it's a good thing.
heh heh heh

Well, on the plus side, attendance would be great at Parent-Teacher conference night (no autographs, please). Put her on the PTO and there goes that problem getting dads involved.

"Your presence in the classroom would cause a disruption to the educational process,"
Using that philosophy, they would have to fire every sexually attractive teacher in the school district. Teens are going to fantasize about an attractive teacher even if the teacher isn't a former porn actor.
To: Kjobs
It would be a serious distraction once the kids find out but I'm not sure this is grounds for firing. But in this state (like in Georgia) you may not need grounds.

"Your presence in the classroom would cause a disruption to the educational process," McCracken County Schools Superintendent Tim Heller wrote in a letter to Dye. . . . after watching the video several times alone in a darkened room.

She just needs to head for Hollywood. She's on the same career track as Paris Hilton.

Talk about small-minded!
It was over 10 years ago, she's since served in the military and gone to college to become a teacher. Sounds to me like someone who did some dumb things (perhaps out of desperation) that were not illegal, got her life together, and is now being punished for her earlier (not illegal) mistake. I don't think this will wash, although if she doesn't yet have tenure, they can probably not rehire her. She may well have a good lawsuit, even under the ADA, over this.
