I can't speak for any of the other teams in our conference, but we have been saddled with injuries to key players for months on end. Losing our goalie, Vokoun, to pelvic thrombophlebitis for a good 3-6 months hurt the most, right before the play-offs began. Plus we played games 2-5 with no fire or intensity. Our minors are doing well since we sent some of them back to Milwaukee to tighten up their roster. We had rookies down here for the most of the season, trying to cover all of the injuries. I think our strength and conditioning coach needs a different job. I've never heard of so many groin strains in one season.
A++ for you, even though there's no link, because you mentioned my favorite team. :-)

I think if Vokoun can spell "thrombophlebitis" he should get the Conn Smythe trophy. :^)
I'm just sorry Calgary and Edmonchuk won't be playing each other, the series in 1991 was the best I ever saw. Not too many fights, either, they were too busy roaring up and down the ice. Some of the O.T. games went until 2 AM or so Montreal time, but I didn't care, I couldn't drag myself away from the telecasts.
