Almost right. Think of it as anarchy=self government in the absence of organized government, and you have the ultimate philosophical goal of libertarians. We are adults. We act like adults. We treat others like adults. Formal governments are for those who need an authority figure to punish them and tell them when they stray off their moral compass.

But you see the one thing that stands in the way of a libertarian utopia is the same that will never allow for the socialist utopia that leftists dream of.

That thing being human nature,which is comprised of such things as greed,laziness etc.

Which is why most realist libertarians would settle for a minarchy, or even a Constitutional Republic. However, we no longer live in a Constitutional Republic. We live in a Democracy.

Also, libertarianism USES human greed as a positive force for advancement and change. Innovation. You get to keep what you EARN, but try and steal anything and your victim just may kill you and be morally right to do so.
