Agreed. Quantum drives are the noisiest.
Except maybe for the ones that Sun used to use in their Sparc stations.
Those sounded like diamond saws after a while.

I think they had some hard drives awhile ago called the "fireball" I never owned one but at the time they were recieving good reviews.(that was a long time ago)

Also, I believe Seagate is buying out Maxtor... sheesh... less comptetion, hard drives are going to be costing us more $ again. :(
