Hello sweet singles & Merry Christmas Eve.

Pinging you to the Nuts & Bolts (or doing business) thread

We need help & also to make some decisions re: future of the singles thread. Sending this as a ping to the “corps” of posters to the thread. We have a lot of drop ins & ‘Hello all’ type posts but you receiving this are the core group who are there more often & post things of significance.

I believe this thread has a very impt place at FR for just being a singles friendship thread.. sure, more might develop but we see it as a safe haven to find friends & exchange pleasantries as well as heavier topics along the way.

Should we continue? Are you willing to help NOW & THEN to post a thread so we can continue? If you accept a weekly obligation will you follow through? (that means finding your own fill in if you cant do it)… Eleanor & I cannot (and will not) do it every week.. believe it or not.. we DO have lives!

need is this week-end. Phil is not going to be able to follow through with his time frame. Anyone willing to say .. YES, I(we) will do it???? The nuts & bolts thread (YOU ARE HERE NOW) has info on how to post a thread, the ping URLs, the ping list etc. Snugs can help you along the way(I will be out of town)if you have a question.

Next..

Eleanor from England (snugs) is taking over the coordinating of posters. We need to have a corp group of folks who will post a thread. Yes, the first time it is weird & prolly will screw up(I still do).. It can be simple or fancy, depending on your time & your HTML skills. Please let her know if you are willing to help. If we do not get good response, we will just call it off.

I know some of you have in past said you are unable to help.. I am giving you another opprortunity to say the same thing or to say.. okay.. I will do ONE thread every three months..

I believe darkangel and I have agreed to cohost for next weekend. And I'll be glad to help other times as well. Next semester should be really easy for me (at least, that's how I planned it) so I should have some extra time.

Hope your Christmas was well. Sorry I missed your nuts & bolts post. I was away from the computer for Christmas activities…just catching up now. Just wanted to let you know quickly that I will be traveling this coming new years weekend (Friday AM to Monday PM) and will not have access to any computer during this time.
