LOL! Everything is a "crisis." What a ridiculous display the congress put on today with the oil company execs. Hastert decided to lecture the Exxon representative about what to do with his profits.

Ever since the Dubai ports deal, both sides in Congress have distinguished themselves in their hysteria. Nobody leads; everybody reacts by running around as if their hair was on fire.

The one thing Congress could do--cut the gasoline tax--they absolutely refuse to do.

They could also ask whether war is the only option for getting Iran into line. But nobody is doing that, either -- and yet Bush's continuing threats to invade or bomb Iran have to be helping to drive up oil prices, since Iran is the world's 4th biggest supplier of oil.
