Desktops are desktops in the windows world, virtual or not. Don't try to twist the context to fit your narrow minded definition. You can, in fact, run multiple windows desktops without requiring third party software.

This was already pointed out to you before, not long ago, as my link above shows. Yet here you are, caught pushing the exact same BS again LOL.

You might want to check this out... a Linux Distribution Smackdown.

For all the other new Linux users (and maybe some not so new Linux users), you might want to check out TUX Magazine.

Articles are geared to new users, but I've learned a few things from it myself.

I'm not trying to twist anything you pathetic slug. I made a comment about how I use Linux at work now that I've got dual monitors. Your supposed solution simply doesn't fit the need I specified. Just because you get it up for anything blessed by Microsoft doesn't mean anyone else has to fit themselves in the narrow confines of your twisted views of computing.

It's easier to not deal with wine etc. It works fine for me with native Linux firefox, and mplayerplug. The trick is to login to mlb.com first, then go to the multimedia list to select your game from their. If you try to launch the flash first it won't work. The mplayerplugin will launch in a new small window so you can even full screen it if you'd like.

1. Add noembed=1 to $HOME/.mplayer/mplayerplug-in.conf
2. Using native firefox (linux version), go to mlb.com and at the top of the page log in. The key is to log in first.
3. Then select a game and mplayer will launch a window.

So you finally got dual monitors good for you. Doesn't explain why you once again claimed you can't do multiple desktops on Windows, when that same line of bull was already shot down just a few weeks ago.

Look everyone. The pathetic loser has finally reduced itself to repetitive denial.

Must really suck to be a troll.

>>>>not sure how good the Mepis 3.4 is....<<<<<

I've installed and been using simplyMEPIS 3.3.2 for 1+yrs with super results as it does what I need and it plays RUSH's web streaming w/o issues or problems

I tried 3.4 LiveCD but didn't get all the streaming I wanted so I dropped it.

Now checking mepislovers.org I see that with a couple commands it appears I can get the new kplayer to do the same stuff I'm doing in 3.3 with mplayer.

As a newb, I found simplyMEPIS is a easy install with all apps I needed except the Mozilla browser & Mozilla Email which I installed.

I'm now using 3.3 on two machines and SUSE 9.0 & OpenSUSE 10.0 on two other machines-both don't seem to do streaming as well out of the box & I have tried & failed in updating them.

All machines were done in dual boot mode with WinXP cuz I wanted to be able to have a backup. However, I seldom use XP now cuz I am finding I like the stability of Linux machines over XP in addition to the security issue which was the original reason for going over to Linux.

I am actually now looking forward to learning, time allowing, more 'stuff' as I begin to 'see' the power and convenience of configuring my own machines.

Ha ha! There you go again, sprinkling your posts with the name Stallman, over and over again. Why don't you just put the link to Stallman.com in your tagline? If you love the guy so much, why don't you marry him?

You're a leftist hypocrite. I'll condemn GPL when you condemn DMCA I & II. You're the fraud, wrapping yourself in the American flag while inviting the fascist UN to take away US sovereignty by happily adopting their laws. Pathetic.

Sheesh. What a moron.

I knew you wouldn't dare deny that leftist Stallman, you were parroting his website when you first showed up on these threads. Now all you can do is whine about it.

And I knew wouldn't condemn your one true love, the UN. That's why you defend their laws so tirelessly.

One world government, I suppose, eh? That's what you really want. You just don't have the courage to come out and say it yet.

The UN is pushing open source these days, just like you losers. They have a whole new agency dedicated to it, as you well know, and are encouraging governments the world over to switch to it which I constantly point out. Tying to paint me as pro UN is just as ridiculous as all the other bulll that constantly seeps from your mouth.

And this is the group you want making our laws.

You've painted yourself as pro UN, because you won't condemn DMCA I & II. That stuff came straight from that sovereignty-grabbing organization, but you won't say a bad word about that now being US law. In fact, you defend it to the death, as most zealots would.

LOL at flamer trying to paint me as an advocate of the UN when I'm the one constantly exposing their commitment to Stallman and all things open source. Not only do they have a new agency completely dedicated to open source, they've transformed WIPO into another open source propoganda tool. Get a load of this bull, with Stallman credited as their primary source.

"...they've transformed WIPO into another open source propoganda tool. "

Yep. And guess what division of the UN authored DMCA?

Give up?

WIPO. That's right. You support laws written by, as you put it, a "propaganda tool" of the UN.

Congratulations. You just got hoisted by your own petard.
