Hannity talked about it quite a bit tonight. I think Abrams brought it up, too. It's out there, and it'll get out there more. It's more valuable to the defense than the former rape charge.

There're so many pro players who have no class at all. That's what happens when some ignorant dumbass who should be shoveling manure for a living gets rich. There's a term for it, but I won't use it here.

Yes, I did see (on the replay) Hannity mentioned it.. It's not in our local media at all ..

Funny Nancy Grace didn't mention it.

Def Lawyer Kerry Sutton wore a PRO-Nifong or Elect Nifong T-shirt today and she said she supports Nifong's reelection.

Can this case get any weirder?

I sure hope so. No lawyer who does that will go for the DA's throat.

Kerry Sutton, earlier in the case, notably passed on a chance to criticize Nifong.

The interviewer on TV.. said it sounds like you don't really have a gripe with Nifong and Sutton replied she hopes he sees the light in this case and does the right thing.

I saw that interview. I didn't think she was over the top in her support for Nifong.

Sutton represents the team captain who was watching Letterman rather than the dance show.

There are no reports of any prior misconduct by Seligmann. I saw on another site where Seligmann was on the ACC honor roll for student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Nifong prevails in DA race
The Durham district attorney bests Freda Black and Keith Bishop in a primary that rocketed to national prominence

EXCERPT

Nifong will move to the November ballot. No Republicans filed for the office, so unless someone petitions to run as an unaffiliated candidate or launches a successful write-in campaign, Nifong will be the district attorney for a four-year term.

Nifong edges Black for DA

By John Stevenson : The Herald-Sun

May 2, 2006 : 11:56 pm ET

EXCERPT

Because Tuesday's election was only a partisan primary, it's not yet 100 percent certain that Nifong will win in November, even though there are no Republicans running. There are two possible -- but highly improbable -- ways someone could challenge him.

One would be to file as an unaffiliated candidate, which would require getting the signatures of about 6,400 registered voters by June 30. The other would be to register as a write-in candidate, in which case the person's name would not appear on the ballot. But that would require only 100 signatures.

But under a "sore loser" clause in the law, neither Black nor Bishop could file as an unaffiliated or write-in candidate.

"Butch" Williams who represents another captain living in the house. Both he and Sutton have said their clients are no longer suspects.

Black's King Castles

Xo, I meant to ask you yesterday about Castling...and if Black's Queen is captured. Hopefully lawyers do play chess--and can remain at least two moves ahead in this mess.

And don't late-night restaurants have security cams?

Have a good day, xo.

Well, first I wrote out "Cat O'Nine Tails".. but changed the last word to "tales" given how much the so-called facts have changed to suit whatever metrosexual frame of mind Nifong happens to require.

EXCLUSIVE: Duke Lacrosse Player Speaks Out for First Time

EXCERPTS

When asked whether he was 100 percent sure no rape had occurred the night of the party, the player said, "Yes, ma'am." It was the first on-camera interview since the alleged rape scandal had surfaced.

The player — the first one to speak since the scandal broke — gave 26 "no comments" during the interview. Citing the ongoing investigation, he declined to discuss the alleged victim, her dance partner, and many other issues related to the night of the alleged attack.

'It Was Almost Like She Went Eenie, Meenie, Miney'

The player said the days between Nifong's announcement of a rape investigation in March and the April 17 indictment of Seligmann and Finnerty were tense and dizzying.

"I think they're shocked and upset," he said. "And I think part of that is just because there were 47 of us, and no one knew who it was going to be. It was almost like [the alleged victim] went eenie, meenie, miney, [mo] off the roster."

Asked whether he was angry, the player said, "Extremely."

The player said his teammates were "anxious" about the possibility of a third indictment.

"I just pray [Nifong] doesn't go through with it. That he's not going to indict another innocent person," he said. "Because even if it's not me, it's going to be somebody else who I care about."
