Federal and State tax on every gallon gas is many times greater than the NINE CENTS profit that oil companies make on each gallon of gas. But in typical dimbulb Dem fashion, the facts are being ignored and corporations are the villains, dontcha know. These three boobs would have a seizure at the thought of the public being educated as to just how much the government taxes our gas, as opposed to the profit oil companies make on each gallon.

"just how much the government taxes our gas"
This is a much bigger problem.
most people (those that are actually paying taxes) have no clue how much they are paying in taxes. period.
Ask someone how much money they make and they will tell you "take home XXX"....no clue about withholding and embedded taxes! No clue how much money they really make or how long they work for the government.
How can We hold congress accountable and expect responsibility when all of our taxes are stealth and most people have no idea how much they really pay? Apathy is the fruit of having a welfare state/not knowing how much you pay in taxes.

democrats rely on an uninformed public to remain in power. And for the most part, they are.

If only that were taken in Wisconsin, I'd be able to trot out the fact that the state of Wisconsin mandates that the gas stations mark up the price by the greater of 6% above what they paid or 9.18% above that day's average terminal price.
Heck, I might get that particular photo opportunity. It seems that Wisconsin Gov. Jim "Craps" Doyle (D/WEAC/Potawatomi-For Sale) has scheduled a photo op in front of a gas station later this morning to announce his support of a windfall profits tax.

Sch***-faced Schumer knows very well that NY State taxes on the price per gallon, amounting to over $0.60/gal. at this point, higher than nearly every other state.

Ugh. Debbie Stabenow was there, too.

They're just trying to divert attention away from what matters. If we don't fix the border problem, the will be no one left to use the gas, so it's a moot point, for now...
