So many guys just scratch and piddle with it.

Uh.... We're talking about mustaches. Right?

Well, if you're unsure, you could always provide a graphic.

"Some guys think that they slim the face--you see them a lot on chubbies."

Yes, that's true, you do. And they don't look all that bad, but you just have to *think* about them too much, and I very much dislike vanity in men. I can tolerate it in women much better.

I still remember the first t-shirt with words on it I ever saw, and it was very clever. It had "ytinav" printed on it, so you'd see it correctly when you looked in the mirror.

No, but most of my food (cooking) is. It's a good show, and he's a good cook. Not silly like so many TV chefs.

I used to think beards looked good on dark-haired men. Now they look like terrorists.

"The one look I can never understand is the little skinny little beard right on the jaw line. Can't see having a beard and still having to shave every day!"

Maybe it means they intend to marry eight different wives!

The best one I could find quickly. The rest would get this thread *pulled.*

Would the other thing it's called start with "a shock absorber for..."?

I saw Thomas live probably around fifteen years ago. He was bald then, and had a toupee that looked like it came off a Ken doll Halloween costume.

"What Happened to Cal Thomas's Face?"

Maybe he should try a little lipstick, like our other favorite Thomas?

Cal Thomas needs to grow that trademark moustache back. He looks naked without it.

Some guys think that they slim the face--you see them a lot on chubbies. And a lush moustache can help the look of someone with a big beak. But--in general, I don't like face-hair. So many guys just scratch and piddle with it. Makes the onlooker feel itchy.

There was a time when facial hair was the only accepted public facade for men.

But in the early 1800's it was not (think Napolean). And George Wash, Jefferson, etc. did not have hairy faces.

Ah, the dreaded trimming-mistake-shave-off. That happens to my quite frequently, especially when trying to even up the sideburns. The Hitler-stache also once happened--I was trying to trim my stache which made me look a little too much like Stalin. I go from one ruthless dictator to another. I had to abort.

It was once fashionable to be morbidly obese like President Taft, or publicly intoxicated like President Pierce as well. Washington et al were into the french fashions; Hamilton was known as a dandy which would be similar to the metrosexual/androgynous look of today. Fashions change--thankfully.
