OK, I'm thinking about a scooter. Any suggestions? (Vanity)

I'm looking at the dealer sites and was wondering if there's any FReepers who have any experiences with them.

Who makes this scooter? Looks pretty clean.
Heh! I just happen to be looking at the site right now. It's a
Yamaha Morphous.

What about the price of the registration? Is it affordable?

I would not ride any scooter above 50mph no matter how fast they go. Get a cheap motorcycle with enough engine. Think of it as a scooter

You probably can't go wrong with Yamaha anything. My brother had a Yamaha motorcycle that was great and I've owned Yamaha guitars that competed with the best American brands.

I went to the dealer yesterday, but I took my kids with me (One five and one two-years-old). They helped me out because my youngest wouldn't sit still for too long. I asked a fella to hand me a credit application and a clipboard. I told him that I was interested in the Morphous but couldn't test-drive it because my Sons were going crazy. I filled out the paper while chasing them around.
Kids prevent those, "Hard Sale," types from harassing the buyer, IMHO. Worked like a charm.
I'm going back Tuesday to fill out some more stuff.

Since you started this thread, I had not thought of the old Cushman Eagle scooters in a lot of years. Now you have me trying to find one I can restore. Unfortunately, it appears that they cost more than they did when they were new. In this small town I could use it to go back and forth to my shop. Also, my grandson, or granddaughter, would probably like the scooter when they get old enough to ride it.
At any rate, if you decide on the Yamaha, take care and be safe especially with those young ones.

Oh, my Sons are FAR too young to get anywhere near the thing. At least 11 or 12 will be about right (IF they behave).
I've been looking at reviews of the Yamaha Morphous online while at work here. That thing seems to top out at about 75MPH! WOW!
With luck, I'll fill out the paperwork Tuesday and be riding it to work Wednesday.
