Someone posted a link to a website where the names of CM's immediate family could be found. No brother was listed, only a sister.

There are a lot of Mangum's in North Carolina, so it could be nothing.

Officers from the Montgomery County Police 6th District-Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village made an arrest early yesterday morning for burglary and car theft.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 31, 2001, Officer Robert Perkins observed a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Father Hurley Boulevard and Waters Landing Drive. As a result of a stolen check of the vehicle’s license, the vehicle came back as stolen. Officer Perkins initiated a traffic stop of the 1986 Honda Accord on Alder Leaf Court. The driver and front passenger were arrested for auto theft and transported to the station.

Further investigation revealed that the car was stolen during the commission of a burglary in the unit block of Leafy Overlook Court in Gaithersburg on July 25, 2001, by the front passenger of the vehicle. During the burglary, the passenger broke into his parents home, took several items, and pawned them. The stolen vehicle had the right front passenger window broken out as well as the ignition punched.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kelly Phillip Ambrose, age 35, of no fixed address and the front passenger was identified as Brian Scott Mangum, age 31, of no fixed address. Mangum was charged with one count First Degree Burglary, Auto Theft, and credit card offenses. He was detained on $25,000.00 bond.
