It sure would leave scars. Maybe she had a flashback at the lacrosse players house.

Every bone in my body screams "NO EXCUSES", but just damn. Is this a red herring, or did something happen to this girl when she was a girl?

Few people have good enough memory to remember all of their lies. That might be one explanation why so many conflicting accounts from the family members. Unless to cause confusion?

With all your hints, are you trying to say she might have been raped by a Black man (which could be verified by DNA tests?) and that it's being covered up by a corrupt police dept and or DA's office? I did read a rumor that she had performed at a frat house prior to the Lax house. Just wondering? Oh well, I'm sure the defense has a crew of private detectives on where the AV was before the Lax party.

Who knows. She could just be a head case and needs meds.
Her behavior now and as a youth might be an indication of manic or bipolar mental illness, and not necessarily sexual trauma.

Anyway, Mangum has been working in the sex industry for awhile, and why she chose to accuse the LAX players of rape,in my opinion, was to avoid going to the facility the cop at Krogers was going to send her that night.

Ms. Cy Gurney, MSW

Regional Administrator, NC Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program

North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts

“20th Anniversary Celebration”

Ms. Cy Gurney is a Texas native who has lived and worked in Durham for more than 19 years. Once Ms. Gurney settled in Bull City, she became district administrator of the Durham Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Office. The GAL program pairs trained volunteers with attorneys to represent abused and neglected children in court.

Since 1992, Ms. Gurney has served as regional GAL administrator, overseeing program development in 15 judicial districts (44 counties) from her office in Downtown Durham. Last October, Cy spearheaded a 20th Anniversary Celebration for the GAL program, holding the three-day event at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Southeast Durham. More than 500 judges, attorneys, volunteers, and others attended from across the state.

Ms. Gurney is currently planning another GAL event in Durham for March 29–30. When asked why she enjoys bringing meetings home to Durham, Cy says, “There is something for everyone here…. Durham has vision, it has momentum, and it is filled with wonderful, talented, and caring people who make Durham thrive in its variety.”
