Keep in mind that Essex Fells' homes at 2.5 mil are equivalent to NC homes in the $700-900,000 range.
I meant to note that in the last post.
I'm not sure about that. But I remember doing a tax check on both the AV and her father at the address that has been mentioned where they live and it seems both owed several years taxes. I assumed it was car tax because of the amounts.
And SC homes in the 400-600 range.
I just don't see it. He wouldn't have done 70 interviews if he didn't think he had a winner. Once he struck out on the DNA, he has kept his trap shut.
The guy is a Democrat and a former social worker, which is to say a sucker. I think he actually believed her at one point. Not now. But at point he did. Moron!
Your explanation makes the most sense and fits what has been reported.
Considering that we live in a representative democracy and Nifong is up for an election, I would agree about "higher up" if you're talking about the black population of Durham. I believe in Nifong's mind, those are the people who control his future in political office.
Every bone in my body screams "NO EXCUSES", but just damn. Is this a red herring, or did something happen to this girl when she was a girl?
Few people have good enough memory to remember all of their lies. That might be one explanation why so many conflicting accounts from the family members. Unless to cause confusion?
With all your hints, are you trying to say she might have been raped by a Black man (which could be verified by DNA tests?) and that it's being covered up by a corrupt police dept and or DA's office? I did read a rumor that she had performed at a frat house prior to the Lax house. Just wondering? Oh well, I'm sure the defense has a crew of private detectives on where the AV was before the Lax party.
Is it possible that a couple of her license suspensions were because she didn't have proper registration and when she paid her taxes, her license was restored?
Meet Mrs. Nifong ...

In GA we pay the tax each year to get the tag. No pay, no new sticker.
There are those who switch plates and even put a (fake)Temporary Tag on their car.
In GA you have 30 days to transfer your tag.
As long as you have proof of ownership and proof of insurance you can put a peice of cardboard on the place for the tag.
The odds of being pulled over are not that high which is why the illegals weere doing that for years.

You are right. Small towns have better memories than that.
My take: The Creedmoor PD remember one thing about it - that they didn't believe her. Why bother to remember the "details" if you think it was a false report? They just don't want to admit that they found her less than credible.
You are a chick with a Monty Python nic? Oh, that is soo cool!!
