No, I would imagine he would not have been invited.

I was all ready to enjoy your cartoon when I found out by accident it was Bring Your Kid To Work Day. Out of nowhere, suddenly all these kids show up. They were running around screaming, throwing things, making messes on the floors and tables. One of them spilled bright pink goo all over a document I was working on. The kids got to do little science-related arts and crafts projects earlier in the day, so they were running around in little white lab coats with pink and purple jars of goo they got to make from scratch. Another kid was ‘helping’ with the document shredder and somehow got the floor littered with hundreds of paper scraps. Other kids took dry erase markers and drew all over the white boards. It was total anarchy.

Anyway, I have to admit, they were a fun break, but I got NOTHING done for two hours and one of my managers (the birthday-cake lady) kept bugging me for stuff that I couldn’t get to her because little people were in and out of my cube every 30 seconds. I put one of them to work for a little while doing some really simple stuff with some files. They were a lot of fun, even though I couldn’t get anything done, so more work piling up for me tomorrow!

Anyway…so HERE I AM!!!

Great freeptoon this week! Your drawing technique is really improving.

So tell me all about your pending job interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still here, the Sharks are playing right now, so I am multi-tasking.

Wow. What a day. There's a hilarious episode of "The Office" (American version, I know, I know) called "Bring Your Daugher to Work Day." Sounds a lot like the situation you were in. Speaking of that, there was a new episode tonight, and I completely forgot!! ARRGHHH (kicking myself).

Before I say anything else, let me direct you to post number 18.

Okay, now I'm ready to say other stuff.

First I went to K-Mart today. Their stupid application machine computer thing seems to not be working. After fooling around with it for a long time, I walked out in a huff. Then I drove over to the nearby Staples and put in an application there (and bought some Staples, 'cause I needed some).

Then I headed over to Magic Mart. It's sort of like a miniature Wal-Mart. But it's actually a very good store. Anyhoo, I filled out an application there. I took it over to turn it in, and there was the hiring manager instead of the usual counter guy. I gave it to him, and looked it over right there on the spot! He asked me a few questions...it was a little scary, but not nearly as bad as the Goody's woman! So he then told me in good detail about the job, asked me when I'd be available to work, etc. and asked if I could come in for an interview tomorrow at 11. Yes! Of course!!!! I've got a REALLY good feeling about this one...

What a turd.

Why even bother visiting the thread if he/she/it doesn't like your toons?

Gotta love those drive-by-a*holes.

Wow!!! I am so excited about your job interview.

I hope you get it!! I have a good feeling about it too!!!

So anyway, I'm home now, but I did do a little overtime tonight. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. YIIPPEEEE!!!! You should have seen the office...it was a MESS when left. The cleaning people will be so mad.

I actually think there may be a whole BAND of 'em, and he's their wicked leader.

Don't worry about the cleaning people. After all, it won't hurt 'em every now and then to do a little work instead of sitting around reading fishing magazines all night (which you know they're doing).

Oh, that reminds me. I learned last night that Kelly Pickler is from Albemarle, NC. Around here, she was being treated like the most amazing star in the history of the world. The feeling around here is horrible agonizing defeat of her being eliminated the other night.

Don't worry though. I couldn't care less.

Well, first I need to go to bed (not yet, of course), then get up, then eat breakfast, then get dressed, and do a whole other host of things. Then I'll be ready.

Gonna' get some nice clothes picked out, make sure I'm good and shaved and well-hygiened up. Not really sure what kind of questions I'm gonna' be asked...dag nab it! That's the hardest thing to prepare for. They get you with those hard questions!

Oh so true P.

Is it life imitates humor or is it humor imitates life?

Good luck with the interview.

Wish you well.

I believe it's life imitates art, but I think I get what you're saying.

So what questions do you find are the hardest to answer...do you recall?
