you need to explain to me how to microwave rice when you get back, that would be handy. i always do it the old fashioned way and have burned it more than once.
I just started the rice-you put 1 cup of raw rice, 2 1/2 cups of water, a tablespoon or margerine and whatever seasoning you use in a microwave dish (I prefer corningware or pyrex). Cook on 60% power for 20 minutes uncovered, then cover with plastic wrap and let sit until you will have the rest dinner ready in about 15-20 minutes. Fluff rice and check to see if it needs water-it so, add 1/2 cup and cook covered with plastic for 10 minutes on 60% power, fluff afain and serve.
