my gram always had geraniums and hydrangea in her yard. they both have good memories for me. there are so many diff kinds of geraniums now. i have a few that are more delicate leaved, maybe strawberry geraniums or something? they are also perennials and come back each year bigger and better than before. i plant annuals in the pots on the deck, but my plots in the yard are pretty much filled with perennials.

i hope the guy listens to your hub. a responsible pet owner would take all of that to heart. loosh is cooped up at home in the laundry room 3 days per week and i feel bad about that, but he is such a couch potato that he is perfectly happy in there, bc he is usually laying around and sleeping when he is out, like now, right next to me! of course he is enjoying his nightly walks with the hyper Aussieboy pup across the street. xsbrownie said loosh runs to get away from him!!

That pup sounds like a typical, hyper Aussie, alright-they will wear you out.

Husky girl is indoors while we're at work, but even if she wasn't an escape artist, I'd be worried about someone stealing her out of our yard to sell-it has happened to a number of people out here-they get home and their pet has been dognapped out of their fenced yard, and an advertised reward fails to produce the dog. It is too hot outside for Husky girl from spring to mid fall, anyway-her breed does not do well in the heat at all. She has the cats and plenty of toys to keep her amused while we're gone, so she seems to stay happy. She still howls, jumps around and expects you to howl along with her (which I always do) like wolves do whenever I walk in the door, though-it is a greeting ritual-they've never mentioned it, but I'm certain the neighbors must think I'm completely mad...

Oh, the leaves of that strawberry geranium added to tea when you brew it give it a nice flavor...

Hubby called as he was leaving the city limits, so I'd better get my wok sesame oiled and heated up for shrimp stir fry started and put the jasmine rice in the microwave to cook-I like the way the microwave cooks raw rice-it never sticks if you add a little margerine and cover it with plastic wrap.
