I think the avoiding a substance abuse charge and her probation being revoked is the likely reason. Her kids and the state taking them was not likely a reason because she was not worrying about them but herself at the time.

That's how I see it. People give her too much credit when they suggest she was concerned about loosing her children.

I have not seen him on any of the shows, I don't think it is worth the time. But I suspect she is not letting him but rather in the spirit of Locomotive Breath's post on behavior, he is behaving just as you might expect. From what I have read about his appearances, he does not sound very sober.

He is either senile or a druggie or an alkie etc and all of a sudden these TV people what to talk to him. So he goes on and talks and talks and talks etc. She probably could not shut him up, if she wanted to.

She might be worried about losing them because she has them on welfae? I don't know that she does, but she might. If she loses them, she loses her check from the government.
