Giambi is on fire,
Randy and Mussina have been great,
Rivera has been rocky but he hasn't pitched much, and the offense has been great.
Damon was a decent pickup for CF and Cano is much improved from last year.

This is the year that they finally break through and win the World Series. "Finally"? Try being a Cubs fan.

LOL...how long have you been a Yankee fan?
Every REAL YANKEE FAN know that they stink in April, they lose those early games on the West Coast, and we tear our hair out over it...every year. :-(
But things are picking up, at last! GO, my beloved Yankees, GO!

"April is the cruellest month." -- T.S> eliot, who knew more about the Yankees than he thought he did.

finally break through and win the World Series. Huh? The Yankees have one more World Series than any other team by a large margin. (24 to 9 by the A's and Cardinals). The current manager alone has won 4.

Now at a theatre in Beverly, MA:
"The 2006 season opens on April 25 with an all new production of DAMN YANKEES, created just for NSMT audiences, and presented in association with The Boston Red Sox. NSMT puts a new spin on this hilarious and heart-warming classic which now tells the story of a die-hard Red Sox fan who makes a deal with the devil to help the Sox take the pennant from the dreaded Yankees. Based on a concept by Jon Kimbell, Joe DiPietro (Memphis, All Shook Up, I Love You! Youre Perfect! Now Change!) has adapted the original book by Douglass Wallop and George Abbott for this production only - to feature plenty of surprises and special appearances that will thrill NSMT and Red Sox fans alike. The score, with music and lyrics by Jerry Ross and Richard Adler includes You Gotta Have Heart and Whatever Lola Wants.

I won't disparage the Yankees or their chances, but to proclaim they'll win the World Series is taunting the Baseball gods. Fear the wrath of the deities of sport.

Buddy, I'm with you all the way, but isn't it a little over the top to talk about "finally breaking through"? Not like they haven't won in 80 or 90 years or never!
Sheesh, what have ya' done for me lately?

As my tag line suggests, I am an Angels fan, but I enjoy watching the Yankees. They are always entertaining. I particularly like A-Rod and Jeter.
