And he dropped his cell phone! He must be dead. Alternatively, he dropped his cell phone, therefore he must be on the diplomatic plane and the plane must be going to Washington.
It's all so logical.

Let's recall the fate of airplanes on 24 Don't forget the season where Jack had Nina in custody and their plane crashed and they walked away from that.

To: SoothingDave
Not everyone did. Some of the people on board were killed in the crash.

Sure. I was just completing the list of planes on 24 that have had unfortunate endings.

I agree that Logan is finished as POTUS one way or the other though I dunno if he'll die..
Who do you think the next Pres. will be? Will they go with the VP or have some time pass and have a new POTUS elected? Which ever, I predict that the next POTUS will be a "white hat" similar to Palmer.

The Veep will take over. He came across as smarmy at first but since has shown some ethics.

You are correct...I was watching 24 last night with a British Friend and she said...hey, that is a British Flag...and she would know....just like you know!

I heard a rumor that next years 24 may take place in Europe....so maybe this ties into that?

Just a rumor. One that has been coming up for the last few years.
What I've heard is that part of the season will take place overseas while the rest takes place in the United States. In other words, we might see a CTU agent in lets say London while Jack is busy somewhere at the same time in the U.S.

No, it's not. You are equating this guy as President Bush. The makers said on Rush's show that he is more like a Nixon, instead of Bush. I see him more as a Lyndon Johnson, unless it is found he really does have the country's interest at heart.

Hey, do you think they'll crush him with a helicopter like they did in ER? ;)
To: Sensei Ern
Not at all. President Bush would never be as wimpy as Logan, even if he were the puppet of some shadowy corporate cabal. It just seemed a little over-the-top to have the POTUS be one of the bad-guys.
It's a story; make-believe - and this plot twist just seems a little too easy and "jump-the-sharkish" to me. That's all. Anyone that equates events on 24 to real life events is just silly, IMO.
To: Sensei Ern
Oh and I do believe that will be the case with Logan - not evil just misguided and used by some shadowy group (the "wise men") that have their own agenda.
To: Trampled by Lambs
We have had bad men as President before...Clinton and LBJ are just two I doubt I needed to name. You may not get C-SPAN radio so you may not have heard the LBJ tapes. These are tapes that have recordings of LBJ in the White House conversing, mostly on telephone, and you hear how wicked he was.
FWIW, if they ever have the WJC tapes on C-SPAN, it will mostly be calls to 900 numbers.

Also the French. I rewatched it again but did not see a Russian flag but definitely French and British.

Bad Presidents, definately. Presidents directly involved in murder conspiracies and terrorist attacks? Not that I'm aware of (Though I'll admit it's possible I still doubt it). Unless you're one of the "Bush did 9/11" wackjobs. (I don't mean you personally there :) )
To: Kaylee Frye
I suspect he isn't going to die this season.
IMHO, this season will end with Jack taking down Logan and thinking it is all over. Season Six will then take place a few days or weeks later as Jack goes after the "Wisemen". This will also slow down the time line because in 24 land, it is already 2009.
