Zotland the Craven

Out from the bog comes crawling,
Something that marks the falling,
Down the long food chain sprawling,
Til it hits the spot.
Where nothing lower can be,
A living category,
Except for a stinking body,
That just got the Zot!

Trying to play the game,
Thinking up a clever name,
And, they all sound the same!
Is that all you’ve got?
Then, as they post and hurry,
As if they had to worry,
One has to quickly scurry,
To avoid the Zot!

Now, out in public light,
How lost the appetite,
And how shrinks the hero,
So brave before!
Then how they scamper shrieking,
False hope of havoc wreaking,
Into their hovels creeping,
To lick wounds of war!

Somewhere, there must be reason,
Perhaps, they’ve a logic season,
Where, accidentally,
They stumble to accomplishment.
Surprising all and sundery,
And leaving them in a quandary,
