It sounds like a mixture of truth and sensationalism. One shouldn't judge a book without reading it first, but I would receive this one with caution until having a closer look at it.
I'm a bit troubled by the description of the author at Amazon:
"Paul L. Williams, Ph.D., is a journalist and the author of The Al Qaeda Connection: International Terrorism, Organized Crime, and the Coming Apocalypse; The Vatican Exposed: Money, Murder, and the Mafia; and Osama's Revenge: The Next 9/11—What the Media and the Government Haven't Told You. He has served as a consultant for the FBI, as editor and publisher of the Metro in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and as an adjunct professor of humanities at the University of Scranton."
As I said, a lot of this sounds reasonable. But does al Qaeda have nuclear weapons already? Maybe so, but we've seen Soviet suitcase nukes before. If they have them, why haven't they used them?

The Muslims should have waited a few years more before attacking us. We were clueless from the President down through the FBI and the CIA as to what was going to happen, and what Islam is about.
The Muslims could have flooded the country with more operatives and really gave us a lot more grief. Apparently they had no backup terror plan beyond 9-11. The Muslims had hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of people willing to give up their lives to kill us. Luckily for us they moved on us to soon. - tom
As I mentioned, i've read the whole book...couldn't put it down...it is EXTREMELY meticulous and well-cited/documented
Al Qaeda purchased thirty million worth of nukes from former Soviet Union as it fell and became a third world nation overnite...also purchased a lot of radiological material...some of this material would act as a 'bone sucker'...gets into your bone marrow and gives you the symptoms of radiation poisoning...you can't 'clean' it you have to pretty much bury everything to get rid of it
2 British intelligence officers posing as muslims from a London mosque infiltrated Al Quaeda, swore 'bayat' (loyalty to the cause) and saw the facilites staffed by nuclear scientists

Yes, my first question to the author, if I met him, would be why 9/11/2001 wasn't the 'nuclear hiroshima'...why give us what amounts to "advance notice"
I must say though, by the end of the book, I was pretty well convinced we are in some DEEP sh*t
My second question to the author would be why they haven't used any of it since 9/11?

I would never give any advice to the Muslims, but the way they went after us, shows they don't understand the chinks in our armor.
Their incompetence and misunderstanding of American culture has actually helped us out.
The thing that works against us, is the treasonous behavior of some of the prominent US citizens in the press, academia and in politics. In the Muslim camp they have a worse problem with the treasonous Shiites in Iraq and many other so called Muslims who want to collaborate with us Infidels.
They get to brutally slaughter their traitors,which they do, but we have to watch our political, press,and academic traitors on TV giving aid and comfort to the enemy. -tom

I know it may seem like 'you've heard all this before'...I'm a political junkie with an MPA graduate degree, but the book just lays out the pitiful ineffectiveness of our 'WOT' efforts to date in such excruciating detail...
