IMO, there is some selective reading of that cite.

Only investigation are by Jimmy Olsons, cub reporters and cub DAs tallying up any and all arrests or cases involving members of the LAX team over the past three and Lois Lanes concluding that there has been an investigation of the LAX team during that team.

So retroactively, they are investigating perhaps, but that is to cover the Duke admin's quick suspsension of coach and team.... guess it all depends upon what the meaning of "under investigation" is .... ;)

See for example, the horrors described below, college students drinking, misbehaving, being loud, whizzing in public.... and oh, yes, so I guess they and 1.1 million other students do "have a bad reputation...."
