Howlin, you mentioned Bucky Waters. I saw where he used to be a Duke BB coach. Does he have lots of political clout amone alums and politicians who would have a say on who gets to be the Duke pres? Fill me in on the iside dope..
Is Bucky still around? He left under a cloud because he didn't win. He had to face "Dump Bucky" signs in Cameron. I met him once or twice 10 years ago and he was looking a little long in the tooth then. Bill Foster was the next coach followed by K. (How cool would it be to be so successful that you are entitled to be known only by one of the 26 letters in the alphabet.)
He still has a lot of clout with the alumni; he's pretty well respected even by people who aren't Duke fans, of which I am one!
