Rolex Sports Car Series:

The Grand American series is at Virginia International Raceway this weekend for the VIR 400. Last year's winners Luis Diaz and Scott Pruett (Lexus Riley) are hoping to extend their championship lead with a good result this year. With extra points available, the championship standings could change dramatically after this weekend. - Sunday, SPEED Channel 1pm ET

When it comes to motorsports accomplishments over the past decade, Michael Schumacher stands not only in a class of his own, but perhaps a universe of his own, dominating his sport the way Wayne Gretzky did hockey.

The 37-year-old German has made a mockery of the Formula 1 record book, obliterating long-standing records for victories (84), championships (7), podiums (143), points (1,259) and races (235).

To put those numbers into perspective, Schumacher has as many consecutive World Driving Championships (5) as his nearest competitor, the legendary Juan-Manuel Fangio, has in total. Schumacher has more points than any two teammates currently racing in Formula 1, and his closest competitor in career wins is Alain Prost with 51. Today he broke the only meaningful record Schumacher didn’t hold (he shared with the late Ayrton Senna 65 career F-1 poles).
