I was skeptical until I read the following: "That sure sounded rich, but I know darn well they would have fixed it up to sell that corporation off somewhere for a dollar and leave me holding 20 million shares of nothing." At that point, he lost all credibility.
Even if the oil companies were trying to kill it (unlikely), someone like Bill Gates would snap it up in a heartbeat because of the ROI if the invention was legit.
