What first caught my attention (other than the apparent violation of the laws of thermodynamics even if the motor did run on static electricity) was the use of a 6 volt car battery. How long has it been since cars had 6 volt systems? 60 years?
Then I read this "Mr. Gray has promised delivery of his EMA motor by March of 1974 and we'll get our car on the road shortly afterwards."
I went to the link and found that the article was published in 1973.

If you really buy any of this then I got some beachfront property in Arizona that you might be interested in.
That could be a good investment. After the Big One hits California

Remember the "Wankle Engine"?
The engine that was going to revolutionize the car motor of the future.
It was only put in a few dinky trucks and was gone in a few years.

While we are at it, make the highways out of rubber so neither they nor your tires would wear out.:)Now there's a use for all those discarded old tires!

I remember when we had a perpetual motion car. My dad was so proud. Then a goverment agent, (dressed in black, wearing sunglasses and in company of an Arab Sheik) came to our house, beat up my dad, took the car and forces a large, gas guzzeling Chrysler on us! >
And I'll bet that Chrysler wouldn't even start on cold mornings! Same thing happened to my family.

"Hey i'm sick of paying 3 dollars a gallon. "
Me too. But, I built my first house in 1989, for $52 a square foot, including the lot. I build my fourth home two years ago, for $135 a square foot, and that house is currently worth about twice what I paid for it...or, about $270 a square foot.
The price of gas is rough as a cob. But it affects my life one hell of a lot less than the price of a home. It might cost me $6 a day to drive my truck. But, it costs me about $70 a day to own my house.

Boy, is Mazda ever going to be surprised. Ever heard of the RX-7 or RX-8?

Mazda has been offering a rotary engine for over 30 years. I would hardly call the RX7 and RX8 "dinky trucks".

At first, while reading, I was sure it originated either from the Onion, or from an old archived National Lampoon issue.
More energy was wasted in ink, newsprint, and bandwidth than this idiocy will ever generate, and I blame the NEA for it ever getting public exposure. It is a proof of scientific ignorance.
It must have been meant as a joke.

As a holder of both Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in energy systems, I have only
this to say.
