How's it been going?

Made a LITTLE bit of money;
Met a lot of folks from AK,
Saw some audio equipment that looked more like ART than audio(and cost like it too, some speakers that cost $10k APIECE!!)and in my opinion are not that much better than my MachII's

Had a long, but SAFE drive (ALMOST wasn't, though)
Waited in st.Clair shores, MI. for a guy to show up, for nearly 2 hours(about 275 miles from my house), about 20 miles from Detroit;

Slept about 12 hours last night and today, after all of that!!

I want to say that I REALLY appreciate the help I got with this thread. Dolly oversaw things yesterday, and Victoria is responsible for ALL of the wonderful graphics and music. Otherwise, it would had been a VERY generic thread, indeed!!

I could had done a lot worse. There were not many there for the swap(they could have came today, though as it was still going on today) another guy with the screenname Whell did a LOT worse(but he was local, too) than I did. I ALMOST sold everything I had at one time or another, including the thorens TT, the 9090, the sony and pioneer amps, and the 2 Pioneer receivers. ALMOST!! Those "bites" did not turn into "catches", though!! Most of it went home with me.

I'll try on the swap thread or maybe on Ebay to sell the rest, I guess.

ON the AK (Audiokarma.org) site, there is a slideshow of the fest, and after all of the pictures of fancy, super-expensive equipment, is a picture of my swap table. it has about a dozen pieces on it. I am NOT in the picture, though.

Yes I do. Older stuff, But I CAN'T get the exotic stuff that some people do (there were a number of systems that together probably totaled $100k or MORE!!.) I could NEVER spend for a stereo system like that!!

Audiokarma is a site where we talk about audio (including HT and car audio) video, collecting of audio, old tv's speakers and such, discuss repairs and things, buy, sell and swap with each other, and have discussions on everything else from life to women and cars(but NOT politics,though. They TRY to steer clear of that, as people end up attacking each other too much!!)

It started as a small site about 5 years ago or so, now, there are over 10,000 members, I believe.

I'm always amazed at how much people are willing to spend to pursue their hobbies (but then, I should talk). But yours does sound interesting.
