Unfortunately she's gotten softer in the later episodes. She's no longer the insane woman in leather both beating up and flirting with Jackson at the same time.
For season 10 RDA will be in 5 episodes to tie up some plot lines with his character. If they get him and Carter together they better not make it too soapy, although chances are he will be killed soon after they start a relationship. :)
I'm surprised there has been some left wing crusade to get SG Atalantis off the air.
They have:
- invasion of another galaxy to get oil, er, technology
- use of torture to get information (and it worked too)
- medical experiments on prisoners
- frequent use of WMD (nuclear and boilogical)
- arms dealing
- positive portrayal of military
- started a war with a group that were previously no threat to them
- execution of prisoners with no trial
- creation of new biological weapons
Is Jackson the Ben Browder character? I generally HATE the "romances" in SF series, but the one on Farscape really worked.
No Browder plays Mitchel. Romances on SG1 tend to follow the pattern of 1) guy falls for Carter 2) guy starts relationship with Carter 3) guy gets killed (and sometimes killed again). Jack has a thing for Carter and she has a thing for him but since he was her CO nobody made a move. They are married in an alternate reality, but he was also killed in that reality.
They play it very mature, no soap opera stuff, they just know they can't so they don't dwell on it or talk about it. None of the deaths of Carter's boyfriends can be traced back to Jack. :)
The whole Vala/Daniel thing is more her way of bugging him than a serious attempt at seduction, or so it seems.
I wish Sci Fi Channel would can some of these series and put the money into adaptations of some of the great SF novels.
ABC is coming out with a series that adapts great SF short stories, and I believe SciFi is considering such a show, too, so that's all for the good.
No, he's the scientist/language guy. As opposed to the others, this one is actually an interesting affair because he generally despises her.
Oh I love Amanda!!! I'm currently seeing a woman who could be her sister! (yes, I'm a lucky man!)

Ahhhh. Thanks. Guess I missed those episodes.
I....am...soooo...jealous.
I know (so is my wife)

But can she blow up a solar system?
She's given me a whole new center to mine!

My Dad came to visit at Christmas. He has been watching SG-1 from the beginning and he got me hooked! I now have all 8 seasons on DVD. . . . Be careful, it is easy to get sucked in.

You dog.

An architect, an artist and an engineer were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress. The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship. The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there.
The engineer said, "I like both."
"Both?" they asked.
Engineer: "Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the lab and get some work done."
As Panerai indicated Jack is back for episode 200. They approached him about doing a bit and he not only accepted but let it be known he'd come back for more occassional episodes if they could work him into the plots without disrupting stuff. He still wants to live in California with his family, but he's open to four or five episodes, at least according to the original news item on Gateworld.NET.
And "200" looks like it's going to be a riot. They're going back to what they did for episode 100, a TV show inside the TV show called "Wormhole X-Treme!" The episode spoofed all of the goofy things about science fiction. My favorite was the actress (in the show within the show) who asked "OK, I'm out of phase, so I can walk through walls, right?" and when they said yes she said "So why don't I fall through the floor?" They all looked at each other and said "we'll have to get back to you on that."
They let basically everybody on the show (the real show) contribute little bits of business and different plot elements. It was very funny. I'm really looking forward to "200".
Really? When? And what's it called?
