Tell that woman to bite yer backside. Heck, give me her number, she can bite mine too.
First, let me qualify that I believe ADHD ~is~ real and does happen. BUT, four-years-old is a good three years early to even try to diagnose it.
We went through all of this with Jr. when he was in second grade. We read all the research and took months to agree to the diagnosis and treatment.
I have made it clear that I will NEVER do that again. Luke has continual problems with sitting still. Church is more of a problem than school. But he's advanced in reading and math. I'm just waiting for the school to suggest he be "tested" at which point there will be a blow-it-out-yer-shorts moment for the Stormhands family.
There will be NO medication for behavior issues. I will regret that we allowed that to happen to Jr. for the rest of my life.
Trust me when I tell you I know what I'm talking about.
What puzzles me is how it seems that the other kids in the school that are Aly's age don't appear to behave that way.
Unless she's convinced the parents to medicate them.
Or, maybe it's just that most kids start daycare very young - so they're used to it. Aly isn't. She wants to go home.
