I just have a feeling they're gonna say "look, it gets great reception here. What's your problem, lady? Do you expect perfection?"

The answer is just that I expect it to work like my old one...but my guess is the *best* they'll do is replace it with another of the same model, which probably will have the same flaws.

I guess I'm gonna run and try it, though. The longer I wait, the less likely they are to help me.

If you're old phone was Verizon and you got good service there, there's no reason you shouldn't get the same or better service with the new phone. It could be as simple as needing to reprogram your roaming capabilities.

But, bottom line is, you won't know until you ask.
