Heh...there was a free frisbee at a garage sale last weekend, so I brought it home to try with Cisco.

Trouble is, I couldn't throw the thing worth a darn. He finally lost interest. Oops. And then it broke.

He's actually not the greatest at retrieving. He'll round something up - with balls he's funny as he'll run PAST them and push them back toward the center of the yard before picking them up - but he doesn't quite get the concept of bringing something directly to me and stopping to give it to me.

He's herding the ball :~D But half of him wants to bring it back.

Ours are only half retreiver, so they only bring it halfway back... or they bring it back half the time. :~D

:-D

You did great with the discgolf disks. Actually that might be what is messing you up since those fly so much different. With a 'normal' disk you have to throw it with the left edge really low. Assuming you are throwing it right handed and hard. They have so much more lift than a discgolf one that they tend to roll right. Starting the throw with them banked to the left means their right roll just flattens them out and they go straight. The lighter your throw, the less you have to bank it to the left.

That and they are much more prone to curing right or left than the other kind so the discgolf discs tend to spoil you on distance, speed and accuracy.

It's interesting with the frisbee, gypsy doesn't bring back the squeeky toys we throw in the back yard more than once or twice; the frisbee, each and every time. She may have played with one in her previous life since she knew exactly what to do.
