Squirrels seem to go for the bird feeders, but haven't been in the plants.

I agree with OT, that ain't right. I've had squirrels dig up plants, bounce on my new blueberry bushes until they broke 'em, and every spring and fall they "teeth" on the oak tree and leave cuttings all over the lawn.
