No, we don't do plumbing!! Besides, we have to change out the faucets upstairs, and change from an eleven-inch spread (1930's) to a eight-inch spread (modern). We're staying with porcelain, but the pipes to the current faucets are totally shot, and we have a constant drip into the tub. The new porcelain is going to look so good, we will probably have to have the tub refinished!!
ARRRGH!!! The plumber's here; the faucets I picked out will not work, they are the standard big-box fare, so naturally, they are relatively cheap-a** faucets with a heretofore unnoticed plastic drain that my plumber's assure me will break at the first bumpage. I've ordered new brand-name (non cheap-a**) faucets, they'll be in Monday. The saga continues...
